Caverject is a prescription medicine that contains alprostadil, a man-made version of a substance the body makes naturally called prostaglandin E1 (PGE1). It is injected directly into the penis to treat erectile dysfunction (trouble getting or keeping an erection) and can also be used to help doctors diagnose the cause of erectile dysfunction.
