Cefixime Tablet dosage

You may take cefixime with or without food. The chewable tablet form must be chewed before you swallow it. Shake the oral suspension (liquid) well just before you measure a dose, and measure it with a proper dosing device. Use cefixime for the full prescribed length of time, even if you feel better, to fully clear the infection and reduce the risk of resistant infection. Do not take it in larger or smaller amounts or for longer than recommended. Cefixime will not treat a viral infection such as the common cold or flu.
